Wait a minute, Pug. You'e the one running for el Presidente, no? It's a well-known fact that moderating a forum leads directly to elected office.
OK, so it's not such a well-known fact. Work with me here...

My understanding is that Jesus Christ is busy at the moment.

or maybe just the first sucker that happens by... |
I thought about this some. I really don't think that a moderator really has to be any of those....except intelligent....and everyone here is, right? I think this forum is more about a moderator making sure the rules are followed, no personal attacks made, and being able to guide a discussion before it gets to that point. Anyone can delete and lock. We know discussions are going to get heated. It may get uncomfortable for some, but personally, for me to change perspectives on my life....or "hear" someone else's it usually is at a slow boil. I'd prefer a moderator that doesn't control the entire discussion, but gets everyone "on topic" when things get hot. CB?

Just my experience, but the list for 'wanna-be' moderators should be quite long. Never in my life have I ever volunteered for something and had so many people let me know how to do the job as when I moderated in riff-raff. For those wanting to walk the walk instead of just talking the talk, here's your chance!

those people should probably be the first crossed off the list for moderator. the requests for deleting threads. I remember writing back "clean up your own mess" once. I mean think about it.

CB? | I think that the primary reason for this forum, of staying On Topic, would be almost impossible. And I'm not referring to those who stretch the topic, but those who go entirely off. For example, I could it would be quite easy for so many here to say that they don't want to be referred to as Intelligent because, you know, that they might also be called French. the horror <tongue in cheek and way off topic of this particular thread>
