Hmmmmm.....maybe I'll get that. Does it do the highways too or just more local areas? I really mainly want the best highway directions.

It does everything--best route or shortest route. Will even calculate the time it will take you to get there and amount of money needed for gas. It tells you where tolls/booths are.

It also updates for construction via the internet and will plan your trip accordingly. It got me to Melissa's without a problem!

Mapping Programs:
RouteRuler (www.routeruler.com) has recently come out with a new version that has an integrarted mapping system, for runners to get free maps without having to upload them from another site. They came out with this a month ago, but have made some vast improvements. The maps are spot-on, and based on the maps that Google and MapQuest data comes from.
they also have a ton of features specifically designed for runners like:
--out-and-back routing
--free hand drawing for curves and trails
--split times calculator
--ability to save routes
--export routed
--an easy-to use interface.

The guys we created it are also hard-core runners, and have developed it specifically to enhance their training. I think it is the best mapping solution out there. And it is FREE.
