We bought one for my daughter last year and i'm ordering the 2006 edition now - Some days it provides pretty moderate challenges with a sense of accomplishment when solving them. Other days the problems are flat out impossible and only serve to piss me off.

I'll post some from the 2005 edition in this thread and y'all can solve them if you want.

Here's one:

Jim is three times as old as Jane was two years ago. In 10 years, Jane will be as old as Jim is now. How old are they now? (Hint: Jane is not yet a teenager.)

The only reason this would even remotely matter is if I gave a darn who Jane and Jim are to buy them presents.

And wouldn't it just be easier to phone Jim up and say, "Dude, how old are you?"
