My husband is looking for a good pair of running shoes. Any recommendations for me to tell him?

A lot of us have had success with Asics. He can look at the 1080 or the 2080 both are reasonably priced and good shoes

Go to a running store. Some of them even have treadmills in the store so you can try the shoes out. There are many excellent brands; but, the wrong shoe for him could cause anything from discomfort to increased risk of injury. Bring a pair of sneakers so they can look at the wear on the bottom. Ask them to check his arch and for pronation. They should be able to come up with at least 3 pairs for him to try.
It is also best to go in the afternoon the first time because your feet swell slightly during the day. Don't forget to wear/buy the socks he will run in. Running socks not cotton
