The old spinoff for average woman's size in America was Size 8, but in 2004, it's a Size 14. As most all females know, a size 14 is the Entry Gate to Plus-Sized Kingdom. That 'outdated size 8' is still comprised of these numbers in inches:
Bust: 35
Waist: 27
Hips: 37.5

Another frustrating factoid is that I can't buy golf shirts/sweaters off the rack from most men's stores now. Mediums are a tad too large for me now and I really need size small. Very few men's stores carry Adult Small sizes (or at least the two stores I went to over the weekend didn't). Mediums to 3XL are the only ones available. Good luck trying to find sub 34 waist pants/shorts either.
It a way its good. But in a major way it sucks to see something you like and go thru the entire rack... and NOT find your size.

I'm now either a medium or large, depending on the shirt - I have "large" shirts that are snug, and others that are baggy. And I agree, finding pants under size 34 is a pain. Looks like all my outerwear purchases from here on out are going to be mediums.
So, to answer the original question: below average.

This was an AMERICAN survey? With that stat, I think not. At least not by judging the dudes at my local mall.
Though if I work the numbers on the female survey, I'm pretty damn proportionate to my size. w00t!

Other men in America: 42-37-41
Seeing that I wasn't included in the age groups, I must be in the category above. That being the case...smaller.
Chest: 38-40
Waist: 32-33
Hips: ?

Whoa! Looks like the classic hourglass-shape! But, average? RLAG, don't be so modest. From what I've read, you're better than average. But humble's good, too.
