Well gang, since last week's session was "easy" coach Jeff gave us a hard one to do this week. We were not disappointed. He called it the "Roller Coaster".
Course description.
First, a slow jog to the starting point.
1000m on the last leg of the XC trail - failrly flat. One minute break for water. Then we start the hills. Throughout the entire hill sequence, we will run one minute slow (5K pace + 30 Secs) and one minute fast (5K pace). We break for one minute,
THEN
Run down the hill and up the first hill (Actually mile one of the XC course) Make a U turn at the designated spot. Go down the hill and
THEN
Run up the paved hill, make a u turn at the designated sign. Run to the bottom of the hill.
THEN
Run up the "Stinky Spring" hill, go around the island and run down the hill and
THEN
Run up the Volleyball court hill (Actually the worst one - last 100m are about 45 degrees) Go around the island come to the bottom and
THEN
Run up the last hill (Which is the one we started on).
2 minute break and
THEN
a 1000m run at normal 5K race pace.
Due to a new watch and I/O error (idiot operator). I lost all my times but it came out to about 40 minutes. What a GREAT session !!!
