Tonight's lesson was the "Social Hour". coach alternates an easy workout with a hard one. This week's was the difficult one.
The workout:
Five iterations of this run:
Start at your designated point. Faster runners went to the 1200 meter line, mediums to the 1000 meter line, and sick lame and lazies went to the 800 meter line. The course included a downhill run then a second half involving a nice, long, uphill run in the 30 degree range. GREAT leg workout.
We had 10 minutes to get to a point about a Kilometer away. If you got there in 5 minutes you got to rest for five minutes, eight minutes got you two minutes of rest and so on.
Do this five times. At the end you wound up at the water cooler/rest stop and you could walk/trot/jog back.
Next week we'll be on the easy exercise. Bet it will be at the quadrangle.
