This week's speed training session was held at the local HS track so we did "ladders".
This was the ladder sequence:
200yds easy
200yds hard
400yds hard
200yds easy
600yds hard
200yds easy
800yds hard
400yds easy
2 minute break then:
200yds easy
600yds hard
200yds easy
400yds hard
200yds easy
200yds hard
Limp back to start point. Total time I spent was about 35 minutes - came out to about 3 miles.
Weather was 80ish slightly humid but with a GREAT breeze.
Next week back to the park. Probably looking at lots and lots of hills.

Andy, couldn't help but notice you were logging your distance in yards.
Were you running on an old four laps to a mile track ?
The last one I ran on was a cinders track over 25 years ago.
It was a 24 hour race and I'll always remember the 6' furrow we had created on the inside of the track........... well, maybe a slight exaggeration but in the early morning with the sun coming up over the horizon it looked like 6 inches

As far as I could tell, the track was divided in yards. I'm not too concerned - after all the joy is in finishing - some of our gazellles finished the whole thing about 10 minutes before I did.
