We sat at a stadium last night for about 5.5 hours and watched band after band perform their shows. Our band, the Scotties , kicked some butt last night. It was a nail-biter to the very end. 10 bands competed in their class (AAA) and the standings were announced with the 10th place band. Nerves kicked in around 5th place.....Ok, so we're in the top 5, that's good. then 4th place announced: alright top 3! we weren't 3rd place, so now we have a chance. We took 2nd Place! Slightly disappointing, but nothing to be ashamed of. The kids worked so hard this year and it was a great show. of course, most of the excellence was provided by the 2 young keltics who displayed superior marching and music performance abilities.

Can you say "Proud Parents?" Mr. Green

Bravo for the kilted ones!!! Boy, do I miss those days! Our high school used to whoop butt in band competitions back in the 80's.....we were one of the largest in the area and always placed, if not won. After about 1986 everyone had finally graduated and now they are pretty much a football band. Sad Sad

Congrats, keltic! You SHOULD be proud parents!

PH, we need a clapping smilie!

I'm kidnapping your Scottie dog and you'll never see him alive again until you let the girls wear shorter kilts!

There are more kids in that picture on that site than there are hits on your hit counter.

Could be a, uh, bandwidth problem.

Here. Now everytime someone hits this thread your site will get a hit.

Maybe you can talk your hosting service into funding a scholarship if you get enough hits.

I used to travel with some friends families back in high school to watch our marching band compete. The emotions throughout the whole ordeal, especially the awards, was something incredible. Almost made me want to join up! Congrats to your kids, Kelt!
