Second XC meet of the season. It was held at a golf course this time instead of a park. Must say I enjoyed it much more! On the other hand almost quit while runnin' it. I am startin to believe that runnin is more of a mental game than a physical one. You just gotta over power the lil voice tellin you to quit...but OHH IS IT HARD! Shocked lol I guess I can only hope they get better. We have another meet this Thursday in Lil Falls...lookin forward and dreadin it. tchus!

thumbs up
golf course running is great fun.. back in my hey-day 20-yrs ago, it was all golf courses for xc.

And yeah, running is 80% mental and 80% physical.

Yes, we were on a golf course too. They had a park/picnic area attached and a huge random hill by the pavillion. Now that I think back, it must have been a pile of excavated dirt that they just left there so they would have some variation in the landscape! Anyway, the finish for our races was at the TOP of the one, steep hill. We always won our home course races, passing people in the last 10 yards up that hill.

My senior year, they built a new resevoir in town, and that became our new course. One and 1/2 times around the top--very flat, boring. Tons of black crickets crashing into your shins in the fall.....

Oh, the memories.... Mr. Green Mr. Green
