Common Manufacturing Phrases and their Translations
I promise to bring this right back. = You'll never see it again.
That's a "gray" area, I'll get right back to you on it. = I have no freaking idea what to do about this.
It will work just fine the way it is. = It's a piece of junk.
It's just a small problem, nothing we can't fix. = God couldn't fix it.
The paint will hide that. = Boy does this thing look bad!
We'll rush this right through. = You'll see it next year if your lucky.
It's close enough. = It's so far off, it's a joke.
Anything I can do to help? = I have nothing to do but get in your way.
This is a HOT job, I need it right away! = It will sit in shipping for 6 months on credit hold.
We can always count on your help! = I am about to stick you with a really bad job.
You seem to have a real talent for this kind of work! = We tried to get a zoo chimp to do your job, but he was over qualified!

the 'can i help' one is always what i use to get out of doing stuff before someone asks me...
