What a beautiful but very difficult course. Sunday I ran the half marathon at Mammoth Mountain in 2:38:12. The course started at 9000 feet and went down to 7200 feet then back up to 9000 feet, it was an out and back on fire roads mostly and the start was at the ski lodge at the top! I don't think I'll do it again. Running down hill for 6.5 and uphill for 6.5 is way too hard! (especially three days after climbing Half Dome)

Sounds like a tough course. I don't think my legs would be too happy with a race like that either.
