MSM and Glucosamine questions

Newbie

I've recently been injured (left knee). My MRi said that nothing was torn but that there was deterioration of the cartilege under my patella. Pre-arthritis is what I figure though the doctor wouldn't qualify it as that. His only response was that it was common in women my age. 30.

Who takes Glucosamine and MSM?
Does it help?
What are the costs?
What are the side effects?

do yourself a favor and pickup a copy of the Trigger point workbook. I may help you find out what is wrong with your knee (most likely it is a quad or groin issue) and may help you to loosen the muscles that are pulling on the knee helping to cause extra wear on the cartilege.
