The shop was too elegant. The changing room was too small. The pants were too big. The mirror was awful, the saleswoman poked her head in too soon.
He tripped over too easily and rolled out into the shop too clumsily. The cleaner sweept him out too unthinkingly. He landed in the industrial waste bin too rapidly, was dumped at the rubbish tip too brutally, where he found a pair of pants that fitted absolutely perfectly.
