Sounds like the same conversation my wife and I in 2001 for Cincy Flying Pig when it was a Kick! event, even when we driving down she was still in the car saying are you sure about this. Needless to say she ended up having a wonderful time and couldnt believe how nice everyone was. Now she is really looking forward to Madison too.

Definetly sunday night, even though I probably wont sleep saturday night, I dont think I'd be much in a mood to run 26.2 after a wild saturday night party.

I'm in for the BW also....who all is planning on getting into town or being around Friday for a gathering? If enough people are, I'll come in Friday instead of Saturday. So far I am definitely staying Sat and Sun nights.
Are you booking rooms or just a block and then we still need to call and make our own? That's how I did it in Philly.......
And Rando, speaking from experience, we definitely want reservations for the pasta dinner!! With the race in town and this big a crowd, it's a must.

Wow! Madison sounds like to the place to be.....wish we could go! We are doing the Green bay marathon(me-1/2, husband-whole). We are both from Madison, and both our parents are there, but we have a possible soccer tournament, and a parade to march in that weekend. If we somehow can make it, at least to watch, I'll check back!

**FOR ALL THOSE STAYING IN THE BEST WESTERN**
I'll call and book the block, G. For all you that have told me that you're in for the BW, I need to know exactly what nights your planning on staying.
Here is the (rough) itinerary thus far:
Friday night: arrive, meet and greet various riffers (apply shin kicks when needed)
Saturday: take in the expo, explore Madison
Saturday Night: Pasta partay at local restaurant!
Sunday Morning: Wear numbers on race t-shirts and run various distances while crowd cheer you on
Sunday night: Do a little dance, make a little love, get down this night...

Will there be shirts made for the occasion? I think it would be cool to have our group decked out in the same rags!

I vote for a technical fabric over cotton... I thinking something in a nice green, kind of like the Audubon Days 5 mile shirts...
Joel, as far as hotel. I'm in for Sat & Sun Nights. I will drive down in Sat morning and meet up with the group befor the expo!

I do agree with Paul on a better material. I would gladly pay more for something I can run in without my nippls bleeding after a mile.
