Maybe a little cookout or something, too.

What about a carbo dinner on Saturday evening? We could make that a family gathering as well. Any suggestions on a place, EL? I'm trying to think...

I like it. The Madison bar scene is just not in the cards for me.

Here's a spaghetti dinner option, for those interested:
Luigi's Restuarant
http://www.thedailypage.com/going-out/eats/restaurant.php?intEatsID=201
The thing that stuck out for this one is it's on the squar, one block east of the hotel. And the prices look moderate. Not sure if we'd need reservations, but with a large group, I wouldn't be surprised.
I checked the marathon website to see if there is a Spaghetti feed of any kind and I didn't find anything. They may have more stuff as the date gets closer, though. I know that the Expo is held at the Terrace Civic Center, which is only a few blocks down from the BW, so that's super handy as well.

That sounds cool to me Rando. Would you like to handle the Pasta partay details?

I suppose I could, as long as I get a number of everyone attending before I place a reservation.

Now when you say 'lawn', don't you really mean 'strung upside down from the clothesline'? mmm...yeah...that's what I thought...

Will be thinking of you though!

chaperone anyone???? i could be like Mrs. Cleaver at the homecoming dance. |
Oh, my gosh, you made me really laugh out loud!
ACK! I'm not sure! I've signed up for Madison for the half and my training is great.
But I'm starting to vacillate because The Great Race by Asics is in my hometown! Check it out:
http://www.thegreatrace.net/events/
If I ran the 10K, I may be able to place in my division (if I started excusively training for this event). There aren't any serious female runners in my town other than lil' old me, so it would be really, really cool to run and actually have a female on the race report from Goshen!
But, then again, Madison is where I was born... and I really want to meet you guys and see Randy after all of these years. I'll be staying at my mom's if we go, so no worries about a hotel room.
Shel
