When is this whole "carbs are bad for you" mania end? I saw a billboard for low-carb beer on the way in to work this morning and it seems that an article about it has already made the local paper.

http://www.accessatlanta.com/ajc/living/1002/07beer.html

Wouldn't it be easier to give up the 7 calories/gram of alcohol than the 4 cals./gram in carbs?

Carbs = good :yummy:

Have you seen the commercials for it (TV)? They have all these people running, playing basketball, biking, etc and then they show the low-carb info. Bad marketing idea. You're working out that much, you need carbs. You'd think someone would have done their research befopre attempting this marketing strategy....

Got a sample bottle from my liquor store yesterday. I had to try it. Not only do I find it pointless, but it wasn't very tasty at all.

People are stupid... Tell me that it is low carb beer and show people exercising and they will think that if I drink this beer I don't need to exercise.

article about low-carb beer produced by Pittsburgh Brewing Co. their ads show people with "six pack abs" and the outline of the plastic rings from the beer six pack, super-imposed over the belly. the billboards have been up since early summer. I haven't been able to find a pic on the net though.

Paul, it's low carb beer. Didn't you see the people excercising? Drink it. You won't need to excercise.
