It wasn't so much the pink inflatable pig (although I do think it was spooking the police horses as one trotted out in front of my car ) as much as it was the various signs they posted on the overpasses of the freeways and the commuters who were slowing down enough to pull out the bifocals, stop underneath and read the scrawlings on bedsheets dangling above
I think the local news is avoiding coverage of it, Halliburton and many subsidiaries are big employers here.

Halliburton employs more than 100,000 people in over 120 countries working in five major operating groups
Looks like they are endlessly profiting in more than just one particular country....

You're right. Back in '97, one Bill Clinton awarded Halliburton a no-bid contract to do work in the Balkans supporting U.S. peacekeeping actions. Guess that Halliburton only made money in Iraq under the current (evil) resident of the White House, huh?
