So, the DH got out of management at the car dealership and went back to sales. He is also changing dealerships (but with the same company). In this process he's basically had 3 days off. He hasn't had a Saturday off since we moved back to Oklahoma, 3 years ago.

We took advantage of the Saturday off to go on a canoe trip down the Illinois river with a group of our friends. 12 miles in low water, lots of paddling and pulling the boat. I hate water. I hate boats. I hate rivers. This one was clean and it was still dirty nasty. We capsized once in a swift current due to a downed tree we couldn't navigate around..

Thanks to rowing regularly, I dont' hurt Very Happy Everyone else does Twisted Evil Thanks to SPF 50, I'm not sunburned. Everyone else is. Very Happy

This was my first time and I haven't decided if I'll be doing it again.

Maybe if improvements are made.

Now we're clean and hungry. Off to find some dinner.

Cappy, I can paint my nails now BUT...I don't have 20 Candles. Monday. I promise to have pictures.

JU, no camping involved. It was a short hour to the place. If camping was involved, there would have been no canoeing for Jennifer. I.don't.camp.

No beer Confused

Why do you hate boats and water???

I don't think you'd like it much down here. Neutral That's all there is. Boats and water.

If I had it my way, it'd be a fishing pole in one hand and a paddle in the other. Sounds like a fun time Cool Hope you get more weekends like it with the hubby in a new job. Can we still get Dodge deals? Wink
