Quote:
Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., told FOX News.
"I think there is an arrogance of power. One thing I have learned, I think, from the perspective of the American people, it is very dangerous to have one party control all, the three branches, meaning the House, the Senate and the White House."

For a probing mind DiFi has an awfully blunt instrument

what would you expect a member of the minority to say?

besides if there is a split in power than the Jack Abramoff's of the world have to work just a little bit harder to get themselves entrenched...probably not a bad thing in my book...

I'd hope a member of the Senate would have a clue about the makeup of the government.

maybe 'branches' was an unfortunate choice of words but without seeing the full transcript, I think that is hard to determine....

regardless, reading thru the faux pas - her point is not without merit..

I would expect a member of the minority to say "We need to get in touch with reality, with what the people of this nation really want. We then need to form a platform that appeals to the majority and then we need to convincingly promote this platform."

your statement is quite accurate...but given the context of the quote I don't think that is what was being asked of her....

again hard to fault what she is saying without seeing the full transcript.

You mean the three branches aren't the left branch, the right branch and the centrist branch?
