I see in the Reviews You Can Use, he read the Idiot's Guide to Being a Groom. So what say you Riff-Raff... what are the do's & don'ts?

Here's mine...
Don't let your dopey groomsmen 'steal' the bride. Going through part of the reception being brideless is a pain you don't want

Enjoy yourself. You are literally king for a day.
Do not get so wrapped up in stupid details of the wedding.
Try to help pick out stuff whenever you can. Just ask her to pick three favorites of whatever (bulletins, invitations, etc) and then you decide together which one.

Don't be like THIS guy:

At the altar. |

If it's an evening wedding, don't let your groomsmen take you bowling that afternoon.
We still haven't been forgiven for getting our buddy trashed. I don't see what the big deal is, it looked like he had sooo much more fun!

My dopey groomsmen are my brother and my father. If they "steal" my bride, we'll have serious family issues.
And i will show up.

True dat. But recognize that as the groom, you are the #3 most important person there.
#2 = mother of the bride
#1 = the bride

If you kneel at the altar for some part of the ceremony, be sure someone has not painted "HELP ME" or some other clever phrase on the soles of your shoes.

Make sure you say something nice about the flowers/dresses/etc...to your bride and your new mom-inlaw
It is the start of a long string of these things.
