So that's what the fitness center here is calling it. You've got how many ever days to finish an Ironman on your own. It's going to be sometime in February.
2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike and a 26.2-mile run.
So what do you think would be a reasonable challenge to go for? I'm thinking somewhere like 4 days What would you shoot for?

you could do it in three if you did doubles
Day 1 :: AM - 1.2 mi swim, PM - 56 mi. bike
Day 2 :: AM - 13.1 mi. run, PM - 56 mi. bike
Day 3 :: AM - 1.2 mi. swim, PM - 13.1 mi. run

When I worked at my school's Rec/Fitness center while in college, we did this very thing. I can't remember what we called it.
I wasn't active back then, but I recall a few of the more dedicated students complete the task in 2 or 3 days.

I agree with PH and MB. But, you should look at your peak milage to get a goal for yourself.

How much have you been swimming? That's probably going to be your biggest challenge, yes? This sounds COOL!

Show offs!!
My swimming has been nada. I should start... tomorrow. I like the way PH's plan looks. I'm hoping to be in 50s/mpw territory by then in prep for a spring marathon.
