Posted: 12/30/04 - 19:52 Post subject: Late details of my Christmas eve run
No this shouldnt be in the Run and race reports:
It was the morning before Christmas and all through the neighbor hood not a creature was stirring except for one runner.
Now on to my story
I got out the door at about 5 am and it was dark as expected. I get about a 1/4 mile down the road and I see one of those wire mesh light up deer laying on it's side and thought nothing of it.
Then when I looked to my left the house that had a Sleigh with Santa in it and 2 reindeer set up, 1 of which had his head held high and the other was supposed to look like he was eating grass or something. I noticed that something wasn't right. As I looked closer I could see that someone had rearranged the characters. Santa was now on his stomach with deer number 1 which was supposed to look like he was eating grass right behind him with his antlers reaaaalllllll close to Santa and deer number 2 was now getting really friendly with deer number 1. All I could think of as I looked at it was That is Funny but Sick, Then when I looked up I saw 2 more of those wooden reindeer getting friendly in the middle of the street. I did move those off to the grass so they wouldn't get run over but I left them in their position. By the time I had gotten back to my neighborhood the 2 deer from the street had been moved back to their original positions in the yard but the new Santa and his reindeer were still in a compromising position.
That was the highlight of my weeks vacation.

I'd hate to see what would happen to the blowup snowmen in your area.

That is why I wish I had my camera! It was a riot to see, I was truly thinking the rest of my run "Sick but funny, Sick but Funny!"
