Tomorrow and Sunday, LC is doing her MS 150 bike ride, the Tour de Farms. We start tonight after work by driving down to an expo.
She's always liked to bike, but has never done anything like this before. The important thing is she has gotten much money raised in pledges - she started out with a very modest target goal, and has raised it (at least) twice. She even got some Riff Raffers to pledge - you know who you are - thank you!
I've also seen her put in the miles on her bike, most of this on her own time. It isn't easy to find long stretches in metro Chicago where you can log in a 50-mile (or more) ride, but she's been able to. She has overcome injuries, and has gotten into good shape for this. Thanks also to those here who gave her input on various things - she's put it to good use. She's a little nervous, but not like I thought she would be. She. Is. Ready.
Go get 'em, Toots! You should be very proud of the things you've accomplished in getting ready for this. I know I am.
