Yeah, but what was up with playing the second episode right before the current episode? I thought they were going to be stupid and do re-runs already, so I turned it off. I did catch the new stand-up at the end of the new show though. There's several people on there that I just don't see as being very funny.
Gary is funny. Todd was funny. Cory is dang funny.

That show makes me hate everything. I don't watch it, because honestly, I think it would make me physically violent.

I find it entertaining, though not as much as last season. I can't really blame the girls for being the way they are. I can only imagine what i'd be like being raised with that much money and that little responsibility. Still, they don't seem to be meanspirited, just innocent in many ways, and probably much smarter than the show lets on.

Shirley you must be joking. Didja watch Letterman last night? Paris was on and it was ugly.
"I like I have to drive this truck! I'm like used to driving Porches!"
Letterman: Do you think you're life is harder than other 23 year olds?
Paris: ummm..yeah! I have to like deal with the media and stuff!
Let's just say the crowd psuedo-booed her like 100 times. She's trash.

I can't say. I only watched the prelims, up to the show where the number of contestants got to the final ten. Then I saw the flap which occurred backstage which involved the celebrity judges (in particular, Drew Carey) and my suspicions were confirmed - being funny wasn't all that mattered when it came to the selection of the comedians.
Sure, I understand the producers and the reasons behind selecting those who made the final ten. But those ten aren't necessarily the funniest of the competition. Some of them were selected because of what they'd contribute to the group dynamic at the House. And that's all well and good. At least the show isn't titled Last Truly Funny Comic Standing.

I missed it. I could, of course, be wrong about their inherent intelligence.

The first few shows where it was all standup and about who was funny were hilarious. I agree with you on the Drew Carey episode...that confirmed for me they just wanted drama in the house (ie, Ant). Once they moved into a house and it became every other reality show and the standup wasn't the focus I lost interest.

You may not get another chance because it was a repeat. I saw the original airing and I wonder if Letterman regrets it. He should do his best to get Anna Nicole Smith. Did anyone see her on Jimmy Kimmel? Ooooh, I think it would be a great hoot if Will Ferrell could reprise his role as Alex Trebek and get those two as contestants. He could play it straight and they'd provide the laughs. I mean, they wouldn't need to act. Some of those categories such as, Your Favorite Color, might be a little too tough for them.

Agreed. Some of the comedians weren't as polished (read: experienced) as some of the veterans. And some of those used the same material, over and over. Enter Ant. I wonder if he is gay because he could use it as material. Hey, it's all he ever joked about and after a few times, well, it's gets old and boring. The best comedians were the ones who could deliver funny AND different material each time they "competed."
It wasn't so much that I lost interest. I just remembered last season's "in the house" episodes. Doing stand-up is fine. I don't care to spend my time watching the "reality" of ten comedians being thrown together. Drama? Yep, it can get rather petty in there. It just doesn't amuse me enough to get me to tune in for it, week after week.

The room mate drama is unfortunate but the laughs are worth it...
That freakin Gary killz me though...He's clearly shown that he's a creative writer as well (the material he had while he was working on the Roast was hella-funny!)...
I think he'll survive because he's capable of putting out the new stuff compared to everyone else. Then again...Dat Phan's mother jokes were repeated x 100 and he still won...
(who else thought it was funny when they played hide n seek with him?)
