Posted: 12/13/05 - 09:36 Post subject: Knee issues
Last week I was just walking and all of the sudden had very intense knee pain which lasted for about 36 hours. I had no problem walking but it was just painful.
Now my knee is clicking and popping and hurts occasionally. When I have stooped down I feel like there is pressure in it like it is swollen (inside) , but it does not feel swollen when I measure it.
I tried running today but I had pain on the inside of my knee. I tried a knee brace to no avail either.
The funny thing is that it does not bother my walking or up and down steps at all. Just a popping and clicking sound all of the time.
I am calling my knee guy today to try to get an appointment.

I know a few runners that have gotten the ortho scope rooter done on something that might have torn off/frayed in there. Hopefully that's worst case and you're out a few weeks.
Might be time to look into glucosamine/chondroitin or LiquidJoint.

JJ I take EFA's and G/C everyday.
My sports trainer seems to think it is a miniscus (sp) tear

It could be degenerative and just wore away and tore. The pain was pretty intense. I did take some NASID and I never take medication of any kind.

When I tore mine there was no sharp pain or anything like that. I thought I had just twisted it. Three months later I went to the doc because it hadn't gotten any better. See the doc asap and take it from there.
