PostPosted: 03/16/09 - 09:30    Post subject: Knee Pain from Spinning
I wanted to mix up my cardio, so I started taking a few spinning classes about 2-3 times a week about two months ago. The instructor was super helpful with setting up my bike and I was pretty much pain free except for about three weeks ago. I got the horrible cold and congestion that was going around here and didn't attend any spin classes or go to the gym for a week. The second day that I wasn't going to the gym, I started noticing that both of my knees were really sore in the front. It's right above my knee cap that aches anytime I stand up after sitting down, go up stairs, when I first start walking, anything. At first, I thought I was just sore from spinning but it has lasted 3 weeks and still feels as intense as it did when it started hurting. Does anyone know why this is? I'm trying to figure it out on my own, but if not, I'm going to the doctor. I'm only 24 and I'm in pretty decent shape and like to stay active, but my knees aren't making it easy for me. Any advice would be great! Thanks!
