In my own front yard!!
Nichole came running in the house last night yelling about a snake in the front yard. We go out and sure enough there's about a 4 foot long snake.
Keith said it wasn't poisonous so he decided to catch it and let it go in the woods behind our house. He tried to pick it up with a long stick, but the snake was having none of that. Finally he just grabbed it with his hand. He tried to get just behind the snakes head but wasn't sucessful, and the snake bit him.
I hope he knows more about poisonous snakes than he does about handling them.

With hubby like that, your rates must be outrageous!
"I'm pretty sure it's not poisonous. After all, it isn't a cobra, I think. Now, if I remember right, you grab them by the head..."
Hope he's fine. I'm guessing it's nothing serious.

Yep!!
Get that shot TODAY!!
Sometimes the teeth marks are so small you are not aware there has been penatration thru the skin.
HYPER...if I remember right, they can also spread salmonella(sp?) It also depends what they had for their last meal as they can spread other nasty stuff that they have ingested in prey.
Consider the bite of any wild animal poisonous...because it is..some just also have venom.
