YES!!!!!
And what was the name of the place...I can't remember if it was at Cooper River or one time in Charlotte...I am thinking CR because Keith and Forrest/Regina were there, where we got the buckets of oysters? It was like Boardwalk Billy's or something like that....that's the first time I ever had deep fried pickles and I was hooked for life.

I like the big kosher dills, but even more, the greener, crunchier garlic dills. Those are so good. There was a famous deli (Katzinger's) in Columbus that had big barrels of them, and you could help yourself to them after you picked up your sandwich. They would smell up an entire office floor of the original Nationwide building!

I thought Creek Ratz was in Myrtle Beach?? Isn't that the place with the outside deck? This place was an inside restaurant as far as I can remember.....I think it was the place in Charlotte. I'm trying to remember which race it was after but all I can remember is who was there.

Creek Ratz is in Murrels Inlet. They have both inside and outside seating.
We ate there on the second night.
Boardwalk Billy's does not have friedpickles. They have the awesome crab dip.... remember that stuff?

Aha!!! Was Tina there when we went to Creek Ratz? The place I am thinking of, she was not.....but the place with the outside seating, she was.
I do remember the crab dip, I make something like it now myself. We had it for New Year's Eve, in fact.
Why did you move back up north again???
The bar at the Islander, where we all stayed for Kristin's wedding, makes KICKIN fried pickles. I remember Larry ordering some (after that, the day gets a little blurry) and the Columbus gang all looking at us like, what the HELL are you eating?
Three basket fulls later......they had all been assimilated.

Yeah, I knooow....I was just lamenting the loss of all that good southern food and running!
Yeah, the first time I had them was at Sullivan's Island. That was the CR race I think, but I do remember having them when we were all in MB. It's also the first time I ever had frogmore stew....I still make that in the summer when the corn is fresh.
Sniffle....those were the good old days.....sniffle....
