Since JJ is only in school for 3 months. The school wanted to single each child out one day of the term. If their birthday was during the school term, then they had a special day. If they did not have a birthday during the term then a day was assigned to them.
Today was JJ's. He was allowed to bring in the snack. We went to the store and picked out cupcakes. He came home with a special kid had and sticker and basically a the teachers all make a fuss over him.
He was talking about this day all week. He was walking in and everyone knew it was his special day. He had an ear to ear smile.
Of course I told him he is always my special boy.

Congrats to JJ on his big day.
They do that at our school too.
Since my B-Day was always during school, I never even thought about that stuff when I was a kid.
