Its warming up, because earlier it said it was -26. Jrjo, shouldn't it colder as the sun goes down? How's the ice fishing?

Over a foot of ice to auger through now. Of course I use a caveman powered model... Mr. Green

Fishing is good...temps like this will add an inch of ice overnight.

More power to you. It seems like it wouldn't be worth it to lug a gas powered auger out there to drill one hole. Not to mention scaring fish away.

It's a good way to keep warm too. Start getting chilled, go drill a hole in the ice......

My last day out was in the middle of November, no ice. Five foot waves crashing into the pier, 36 degrees, it was beautiful. An 11 lb walleye made it worth while....

Looks like I'm in the warm part of the state. 2 degrees, feels like -15.

I've been in an ice house once, but never ice fished. But then I don't fish, either.

Good lord, man! I just did some searches on the weather channel for some Northern Minnesota cities. You really do live up north a goodly ways, don't you?
