Posted: 06/08/06 - 08:15 Post subject: It all started when that rock jumped off the truck...
...right into the bike lane, right in front of me. And it happened to be a truck from a local blasting/foundation company. It was big enough to almost put me over the bars, but thankfully it didn't (I was on a primary artery at rush hour). But the back end of my bike too a good wallop.
The wheel and tire are in good shape, but the chain is slipping a fair bit on the smaller rear cogs now.
I'm thinking (hoping) that it's just a matter or resetting the rear derailler alignment and cable. Any other thoughts on what I should be checking?

Good idea, although I don't think anything's broken.

Are you sure the wheel is true? Bent rear triangle? Bent derailler [sp?].
