Today for the first time in 181 days Shocked I was able to run! I was so excited and nervous for this I barely slept at all last night, I must have woke up every hour. Mad Since I haven't run in so long I had no I idea if I would be able to run without stopping to walk or if I will get into it and my knee will start to hurt again. I spent some time warming up and then I drove over to my local track to start my run. I walked a warm up lap around the track to help my legs get loose. Then I ran. One mile was my goal today, nice and easy just to see how my body reacts. It felt great!!!
My 1/4 splits were: 2:20, 2:18, 2:19: 2:18 for a total time of 9:15!!!!

I didn't want to stop after just one mile but I figured I should be smart and take it slow, I don't want to wait another 181 days to do this again!!!! My physical therapist has me running 2x a week 1 mile runs for now, but I have to start somewhere. I can't wait to get back out there again!

Yeah for you!!! Wise choice to not push. Better to take extra time coming back than another half year off.

That is such good news RB!! I think you did the right thing, listening to your PT. With a little patience you will be back to where you were in no time!! You couldn't have picked a better morning for it. It is just perfect out there!

That must have felt great to run again! I am relatively new here; what sidelined you to begin with?
