(maybe it's just ME even) Do seasoned veteran runners ever giggle in the middle of a run? I mean, I know about "runner's high" and all, but I just got back from a training run, and in the middle of a run interval I felt a bubble rise in my chest, choke me in the throat, and came out as a hysterical giggle! This was only at about the third run interval, too.

My bubbles usually come from somewhere else during the middle of a run.... and I don't think it would be mistaken for giggling....

I have only run one 1/2 marathon, and I laughed from mile 10 until the end. Why? Don't know...but it made the run much more enjoyable!

I did break into a huge grin at mile 11 of my first half. It turned to a grimace when I crossed that finish line though.... I'd never subjected myself to that much pain intentionally.

I burst out laughing in the middle of my first 1/2 marathon because it was hailing on me. I thought that was funny.

Any smiling I do while running can be attributed to the tight pants on a cute girl on the stairmaster in front of me.
General giggling = no.

I either burp, fart or both in the middle of a run.

I guess with all this info I better think of something sad during my first race. Or won't other runners think a running hyena is weird?

It's a common thing for me to just start laughing hysterically at any given moment. Yeah, and I'm in charge, scary huh?
