I was talking to someone about Mr Aire and how it's worked out that he's gotten a package a week since he's been gone. (Sometimes more--between my family and my office and me)
Anyhow, this guy's first question was: "That's nice and all, but what do YOU get out of it?"
Is that a normal train of thought when doing something for a spouse--especially a spouse who is in unpleasant circumstances?

That's a "normal" question by an idiot...
Next time, tell him for me, he can go do an unnatural sex act by the post/base flagpole.

Replace 'rude' with 'unusual.'

You get peace of mind that your man knows he's loved. Duh.

That is not a normal question. He must not be loved or must not love anyone.

It's certainly not very gracious. Or at all understanding of what it is to have someone you love far away in a dangerous place. He's an ass.
