Because I'm getting pretty damn tired of everyone smoking pot. Aside from myself, I know very few people who do not smoke. Most of those who do not are extremely naive, and/or are overly religious/preachy. Maybe I'm just bitter because it's yet another thing that leaves me in solitude, but I'm flip pissed.

I used to smoke pot but after I had kids I realized I couldn't be a parent and smoke at the same time. I have a brother who is a couple years older than me who still smokes regularly.

smoking dope isn't the least bit attractive. it's, well, really dopey. i can see how all the potheads around you would leave you feeling out of the stupidloop but you know the drill - you will stand your ground and you won't back down. they could stand you up at the gates of hell, but you'll stand your ground, and you won't back down.

It's way overrated and not worth the money spent and the brain cells fried. That said, I still miss it on occasion but haven't and won't succumb to the temptation.

In my arteries and veins, it's 75% caffeine, 25% blood. One prescription medication in at least the last ten years, I believe. Other than that, just the usual cold medicines, aspirin and related stuff.
Pot never did anything to/for me (only once in a great while in college) save the one time it was put in a chocolate cake. Made me hungry as all get-out. Then again, that may have been the chocolate talking to me.

Well, I would probably fall into the "overly religious" category for you but that doesn't mean that I couldn't still smoke pot. The Bible doesn't specifically forbid it (i.e. "Thou shalt not smoke pot.").
That being said, I'm surprised that you find so few friends that don't smoke it. As a runner I find myself being surrounded by other runners and it seems that most runners want to keep themselves healthy (notwithstanding the few runners that sit around smoking a cig just before they run a race).
The only pot smokers I know pretty much don't have any goals in their life and think that drugs ARE their life. At least that has been my experience. Maybe these people just need new hobbies???

I smoked pot for the first time when i was 25....i'm now 26. I never had the urge to try it..never looked down on people who did. I did get surious so i tried it once - i probably won't again but it satisfied my curiosity... And it was very relaxing i might add...
