never touched the stuff mech.
and my second year of college, my best friend became a major pot head, he hung out with pot heads all the time. So, I spent alot of time around it. Never did it though.

If it's not a 'big deal', how could there be such big risks? So it's only 'good' for people without family or without a job? |
It is illegal, that makes it a big deal. I just don't think marijuana in of itself is all that much worse than alcoholl

Liking smoking pot isn't any different than liking drinking. |
Everyone thinks I'm a good girl.

A lot of kids in RT land are doing some major drugs and the school, parents and community are in denial. It is sad. We are now doing as many marijuana arrests of juveniles as underage drinking.

Pot smoking and not having a job or family is sort of like the ol' chicken and the egg, no? |
I know you don't smoke weed, I know this; but I'm gonna get you high today, 'cause it's Friday; you ain't got no job... and you ain't got poop to do.

Some of the very best times I don't remember were had while stoned on my ass. It's a strange feeling to wake up with your sides and abs hurting from unstoppable laughter but not being able to remember what was so damn funny.....

It's kinda wierd. I got through school (summa, no less) stoned 24 7, but if you got me high now I'd be a bumbling idiot. So I don't touch it. I've also seen other people totally waste beautiful potential by fooling themselves that they could not function wothout being high, BUT, I know of another few people who do their best work in that state.
I say whatever works for you, works, as long as you don't harm anyone else in the process.

I don't do any of that stuff... I see people using it and it's fun to just sit back and laugh with/at them.

i'm completely proud of you MED.
for Pete's sake, somebody needs to be straight. losers. | I suspect there's more not preachy, religious types who won't touch drugs than you think. A lot of my friends got high in college and I wasn't into it at all. They eventually grew up.

Just curious, those who have never and will never smoked, did you choose not to because it was illegal or because of what it does to your brain? And also, do you drink and have you ever gotten drunk?

It's a leap of logic to suggest one justfies the other.
Truth is, more of either is not a good thing.

I don't smoke because of my morals. I have gotten drunk, but I'm really opposed to drinking also. I consider it a failure that I drink as often as I do (which really isn't that much).
