Louisiana, 50th in Education!
I agree though, I think your environment is a big factor. Actually not (just) a Louisiana joke this time, but actually (sadly) any college campus.

I don't think pot is all that much of a big deal, but I don't smoke. It certainly wouldn't be worth what I'd be risking to smoke (family, job).

That's cuz you live in BC.
And for the record, Tim and I are the only two guys in Canada who haven't touched the stuff.

It was everywhere when I was in college. Sure I've smoked it before and never had a problem with it where I was addicted. My pot smoking days ended when I started teaching Kindergarten and there was still a program in the schools being taught called Just Say No, started by Nancy Reagan. I had a hard time smoking it and telling my kids to say "no". However, I will not lie to you. I liked getting stoned. There I said it. Now kill me.

And I thought you were a good girl.
Liking smoking pot isn't any different than liking drinking.

I like the smell of pot smoke, just not the effect any more.
A van passed me last night that smelled like weed.

If it's not a 'big deal', how could there be such big risks? So it's only 'good' for people without family or without a job?

Pot smoking and not having a job or family is sort of like the ol' chicken and the egg, no?
