My son is 8 and Ive been considering the idea for him to take up a certain sport. I just dont know which would be the best for him. Running is definitely not his cup of tea, and Ive noticed that he likes spending a lot of time in the water, so one of the options is swimming or water polo. The other possibility can be cycling, since he insisted on buying him a bike for his last birthday. Is cycling the most physically demanding sport?

It depends on many factors. First of all, he maybe likes to ride a bike but the question is whether he would be ready to spend almost all his free time training. Cycling is no more demanding from running or swimming, but as for all sports, there are other necessary parts of training, such as working out in a gym or running and similar in order to strengthen his muscles and boost up his condition. The trainings have to be carried out no matter how high or low the temperature is. Of course, there are many great results that such a sport results in, for example, practicing discipline and persistence, then improvement of overall physical condition and shaping up, not to mention the excellent psychological exercise.
