A bunch of hunters are in the woods. A deer approaches and they all throw Snickers Bars at the deer who runs away from the nut cases.
The voice over says "They are only satisfying if you eat them"
Can someone explain this to me ?
Am I missing a subliminal Fellini type suggestion ?
Is Kafka now writing ad copy ?
Were Camus and Kierkegaard resurrected for this commercial ?

You can't use Snickers bars as a gun to kill deer. They become unsatisfied by their actions of throwing the SNickers because it didn't kill the deer. Snickers are only satisfying if you eat them. They're so good that the hiker will eat it while finding it in the middle of the woods, and he'll be totally satisfied because he ate it.
The writers are assuming that the hunters are just stupid and so are the viewers.

We haven't had TV in three years and when we do watch it at other people's houses I am amazed at the stupidity of commercials. The ones that really make you laugh are few and far between.

Yes, you are correct.
Snickers bars = illegal.
Twix bars = legal during hunting season. Three-deer limit, however, in Montana, New Hampshire, and North Dakota.
And Alabama allows Tootsie Rolls.
