Is this about that you were in a situation that caught you by surprise or that you don't like gay people, which these people may or may not have been, or that you don't like being the butt (npi) of other people's jokes? I'm having a hard time deciding.

In any case, there's no cause for violence ever, certainly not on a matter as trivial as this one. Drop it and move on.

The first part of this story actually happend. The rest is what I conjured up for the rest of my run:

Reality:

Picture me running along, on a perfect day. Minding my own business and enjoying my run. The birds are singing, no noise except nature and my breathing. Hark! What's that I hear? But the sound of an approaching vehicle. I can tell it's a fine ride right away by the unmuffled purr and the gas fumes emanating from it. This lovely chariot passes me (some kind of old rattletrap) and a guy yells out: "You Da Man!!"

That's funny. I wasn't a man this morning. Has something changed? Akern realizes some hooshwaa is making fun of her. Evil or Very Mad

Fiction:

After confirming that she is indeed not a man, Akern reaches back to where her trusty water bottle is on her belt. Instead of a water bottle tho its her Colt .45. She draws her gun quick as lightening and fires! BLAM!
There goes the back glass! Blam! There goes a rear tire! Said vehicle careens out of control and crashes in the ditch.

Akern reholsters her weapon and cruises by the carnage. Takes a deep breath..... Ahhh peaceful once again.

Good point, Go. I'd like to know the answer. Can you shed any light, Mr. Helm?

It's because gays are perverts. If they want to be gay all by themselves, then by all means they can go ahead. Now, when they invade my space it's another story. If I had gotten cat-called by women, I wouldn't have minded and I wouldn't have said anything about it.

I have no problem with you personally, Brethelm, but I find this statement incredibly offensive. Mad

I agree with both Sandy Cheeks and Gogirlgo, and find this statement not only unbelievably offensive, but also very uneducated.

You mentioned in your first post that these individuals were "a group of goth teens". No self respecting flaming gay man (one that would actually cat-call another man) would ever dress himself as "goth". So, personally, I don't think these individuals were, in fact, gay, but rather a bunch of teenagers who were just heckling you.

How is this alleged gay man invading your space? By actually complimenting your on your gluteal attributes? If, in fact, he really was gay, then you should be complimented, as gay men really know a good behind when they see one.

And how, actually does, one "be gay all by themselves"? Are you suggesting that gay individuals stay in a corner with all the other gays? They're not permitted to live normal lives? Or are you possibly advocating that all the straight people can continue to harass and abuse gay people?

You said if you had gotten cat-called by a woman you wouldn't have minded. What if the woman was a lesbian that did the cat-calling? Would that have bothered you?

I certainly don't want to get this thread locked, but Brett, your attitude scares me. And sadly, it's an attitude that is shared by the majority of the males on this forum.

Thanks Jerry.

And Greg, why is my statement "the dumbest statement that has ever been posted here in the RRHO"?
