It was a 250 yard dash. They started in the middle of about 40 kids. Richie should have toed the line. He passed all but 4 and came in fifth. Clocked a 5:35 pace  Bridget was not to far behind.
Richie's post race interview quote: "Why race if your not going to win?"
I think the free bottle of Gatorade and finishers medal was icing on the cake.
