Posted: 07/10/03 - 17:22 Post subject: Interviews...
Pardon the influx of posts, but this was kinda funny..
I had an interview earlier this afternoon at a different insurance company that was bizarre..
The first person (to whom I would report directly) couldn't find the conference room so we went up and down elevators for 15 minutes, then to her cube where she e-mailed the other interviewers to update them on the situation. After she found it, I only had about 10 minutes with her, and she clearly had not read my resume.
The second interviewer gave me some behavioral test and he seemed offended that I fell into the "controlling/supportive" quadrants. Isn't that what you want from a leader?
The third person had not read my resume either, and spent most of the time asking how I would prioritize requests from upper management and how I felt in a politically tense situation.
Besides the fact that I am overqualified and would be bored and most likely getting into trouble because I don't brown-nose well I don't think I'll be taking this job even if they call me back. What a mess!!!
(Or maybe I am too critical? Controlling? )??
