Hey, I didn't get the job yet. But by being watched closely, I mean that they expect results in an area that has been plagued by incompetence, theft, and disorginzation. I would be director, answering directly to the CFO and CEO, with about 3-4 or more employees, so as far as being monitored, that would be my job. 
If I don't get the job, it will be because of lack of experience in the field. But if I do get the job, I will have to be a real hardass because the dept is in shambles.

They'd be crazy not to hire you, Monk. From what I know of you, you are an amazing person with a great work ethic.
