I'll be a weekend off! I'm running the Hilton Head Half 2/14th. We go to HH every President's day weekend, and last year they began a half marathon on that weekend.
Drats!

Just try to think of me when I am up to my left butt cheek in 1040's. And 1120's and 1120S's and 1065's and god forbid anyone should die..then it will be 1041's, too.
And you could at least file on time so I am not up to my right butt cheek in extensions.

Depending on how my training is going I might try the half??? That is only a month before the Gate River Run so I should be in real good condition!

Yes - IF Mrs. Hayes gets to doing better. I know that she gave me the go ahead to go by myself a while back if she wasn't up to traveling, but she's been doing pretty poorly lately and I just couldn't leave her alone for the weekend.

Makes sense. Sure hope she gets better. She has had more than her share of health problems.
I am tenatively planning on going. i.e. I am training for it, but I have not registered. I doubt the race would fill up, so registering at the last minute will probably work.
Good luck with the Mrs. PH's health issues.

It's official! Mr Poky just signed up for the 1/2, and we have a place to stay. I was going to be depressed because I couldn't run the 1/2, but
I'm looking on the bright side....him running....me on the beach with a book.

Does anyone know what kind of sports drink will be provided at Tybee? I am really hoping that someone will say that it is ANYTHING except Ultima.

I just received an e-mail from the Tybee folks stating that Powerade would be the provided sports drink. YES! No more Ultima.

Starting to think about it. the 5k is definately do-able but i think i could Gallo-session the 1/2
i'd prefer to be home as much as possible due to my ailng kitty kat though. she gets daily meds. and most of my freinds will be out of town that weekend so limited pet sitters.
