I hate them I hate them I hate them!

On August 1, we were involved in a little fender bender. We got rearended at a red light. This was a friday afternoon. I got an estimate on Monday, turned it in to my insurance people, who contacted their insurance people, and we started waiting...

So, we never heard one thing, for a month. So, we start calling. My wife calls, I call, the lady never answers the phone, so we leave like six unanswered voice mails. Finally, 2 weeks after this, on a friday, while we are at work, she calls our home and leaves a message. So we call back, and of course, she's not there. We call her office the next monday and get her voicemail again!

Finally, my wife starts to bish at the receptionist, and lo and behold: she's there. We then answer all there questions. 4 days later a guy calls and says he's going to come up and take a picture of the damage done to the car.

That was a week and a half ago. Still heard nothing from them.
No $ in the mail. Nothing.

I'm calling later and chewing some @$$!

Refuse to pay your premiums until you get some satisfaction.

I bet you get a call, if your check doesn't show up

I'm going thru the same crap with insurance companies for my kid. He hit his head July 29th thru a random act of stupidity and ended up in the hosp. for a couple of days. Insurance companies now fighting over who is supposed to pay for it and meanwhile the hospital is telling me i'm going to be responsible for it soon.

i was having issues with "thier" insc co too

the guy that hit me never filed the claim. i had to.

then, when the adjustor lady finally contacted me, she had to give me the number of another company who would come and look at the car. well they only work mon-fri 9-5. becuase of my funky schedule, i could never get a time for them to come out.

yesterday, when she looked at my estimate she said they would only pay for one days of a rental car becuase the actual labor to fix my car was 5 hrs...but it takes days to order the part, to paint the part, and to let it dry.... and it was at the dealership, so we all know that it will really take at least 5 days...

so i talked her into giving me two days of a rental car. thanks lady

Be sure to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the local office's head office. It will at least make you feel better!

Yeah, get a lawyer.

I was involved in a little fender bender awhile back. The other guy hit me, he was driving his sister's car. I called it in to my insurance, and gave them all the info I had on the other driver. They never called it in to their insurance, so I get a phone call from their insurance saying they don't know if they're going to cover it since their client hasn't made a claim. Huh? So I suppose I pulled the guy's driver's license and insurance information out of the sky?

it's bullcrappio as well!!!!

I once waited/called 7 months to get a $500 check from an insurance company and when it finally came it was for $400...

I was so damn pissed that I didn't even do anything about it Mad

There's always the good old DOI if nothing else. I'm unsure of what other alternatives may have to be exhausted in your state, but it certainly doesn't hurt to check it out and or file a complaint...

Insurance companies are a big scam. I used to work for one, not on the claims handling side, but I saw/heard enough crap that I'll never work for one again.
