I wish! That is my one really out-of-reach running dream.
Someday I will do it.

This week was the first time I heard about the time standards NYCM has for guaranteed entry. That's my new running pipedream, if I ever get a BQ, then a NYCMQ is next
...maybe '08 when I hit the big 40

Another way is to run 9 sanctioned NYRR races in a year. I will have that for 2004, I hope!

seriously considering it....never been to NYC and I have a brother in Long Beach to stay with. I have a hard time getting the mileage in over the summer so NY gives me a few extra weeks over Chicago....oh so many marathons.....so little time

Sue, it is a fun marathon, but not the place for a PR. Pretty tough course, and very crowded!

By "inspiration" I thought you were going to post a picture of a hideously out-of-shape person with cottage cheese thighs wearing a tiny little bikini. That would inspire me to stay the hell out of the Nutella jar. Where's Cappy when you need him?
