apparently, karlene was IN THE GAME!
better a leg shot than a face shot you player.
there was a girl in my daughter's league that took a face hit and even the doctor in the crowd could not get the bleeding stopped in 20 minutes...i've never seen so much gushing sooooo, my daughter has a small fear of the ball and I DON'T BLAME HER.
most importantly...did you TAKE THE SHOT? TAKE THE FREEKIN' SHOT!!!!!!
/hope your leg's okay

and OUCH. It'll bruise alright. I got hit in the head by a softball once that left the thread imprint. I didn't bruise all that much, but I had a honker of a knot.

I have taken a hit to the face hence the fact i am half blind in one eye.
That happen 12 yrs ago, it took a long time for me to be able to play like i used to. I don't even notice it anymore, except when someone is about to boot the ball in less than 10 feet infront of my face, i turn my back. most people understand why but i've had to explain it to some people on the team they are always like haha. but then they understand

Ah, the memories.
The picture of your leg reminded me of one of my varsity practices in high school, which you might find amusing.
We started spring season practice in January, but sophomores didn't try out with the varsity squad until February, after the coaches saw what kind of material they had on the JV team. We had so many skilled players that very few sophomores even got a shot to try out for the varsity squad.
So our coach brought up a long legged kid who had a cannon for a leg, and trotted him out with the second string to run a scrimmage against the starters. It was about 40 degrees outside.
The kid ripped a shot from the top of the arc and one of my teammates stupidly stepped in front of it, catching the ball flush on the thigh. It was so cold, and the kid hit it so hard, you could make out "Adidas" in the imprint on his leg.
The kid became the only sophomore starter on the varsity team that year.
As it turned out, his cannon was golden. Here's what he's doing today: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=1977
