Indianapolis Marathon was this morning. The day started out with some light rain; however, by race start the rain stopped. Temperature was around the low 50's with a light to mild wind. Overall I considered it near-perfect weather for running.

My run was fairly good. I did the half-marathon with a few friends just for kicks and giggles. The outside of my right foot was sore going into the run. Around mile 9.5, I felt a sharp pain and had to stop to walk for a short time. After a mile of walking, I started running again and was able to catch my friends before they finished the half-marathon. They ended up doing a 1:47 for the half.

Other Purdue runners did VERY well. We had a 11th place finisher in the half-marathon, several age group winners in both the marathon and half-marathon, a Boston Marathon qualifier, and 3 other people that ran the full marathon and good times. (I can't remember exact times or places)

FLARUNNER was also at the race; however, I never saw her. Since she is an IU grad, I'm sure that the Purdue clan (about 20 people) intimidated her or she just didn't want to be seen around Purdue people. Very Happy

Kongrats, Koby! Sounds like you had a nice time running with your friends, despite the foot injury. Hope you recover soon!
