Dallas has a new marathon on 3/28. I think we should all go, but as spectators, since they're going to give cash awards to the best spectators and water station folks.

placing based on chip time and the first registrants are elite????
does anyone else foresee some real big problems with results????

You think? A total chip race sounds pretty cool. So does the chance to start in an elite corral... definitely the only chance I'd ever have.

oh....just the sandbagger mentality. Start way after the crowd has passed mile one....start your race......your support crew keeps tabs on lead runners. Race officials think that "what's his face" wins the race and low and behold "the ugly one" crosses the line 5 minutes later......but wins "officially"......but not discovered until hours and hours later. In an interview later....they will claim that they were stuck in a porta-john when the gun went off or had to run back to the car because he had two left racing flats.....all a publicity stunt of course
